PF advised Ofsted – the national school inspectorate – on the development of their new inspection framework for schools, and created new guidance on how to successfully write and present new inspections to parents.

Public First ran an iterative qualitative research programme with parents: firstly running focus groups to hold in-depth discussions on what parents most value in a good school and what they thought about existing Ofsted materials; and secondly running additional groups to test heavily amended materials we produced

Ofsted have taken our recommendations on at the highest levels and are now engaged in a process to amend all their public-facing materials so they better fit the interests and lifestyle of ordinary parents
